Greetings from the hot plate of the United States!

It's been several years that I've been eyeing the cobra kit cars and coming to the conclusion that Factory 5 has the best kit and the absolute best-looking accuracy-wise of all.
And I've finally decided that either a Coupe or a MkIV will reside in my garage sometime before my mail gets delivered by gophers.

I have a small collection of LBC (Little British Cars) that include a '64 Austin Cooper S RHD factory rallye car replica, a '66 LHD Austin Cooper S that only needs a couple of items to be a race car, a '64 AH Sprite MkII racer (GP) and a '59 Bugeye Sprite that it awaiting rebuilding as a street racer. All but the Bugeye can be sacrificed for the opportunity to buy eithr a kit or already-built MkIV or Coupe.
Even my beloved '82 Porsche 911SC can be on the block to satify my lusting.

What would be terrific would be to meet a San Antonio FF5 owner to talk and see his/her car and try it on for size.
I am an ex-firefighter standing 6'4" and weighing right about 300 lbs.

Welcome - sounds like you have some seat-fitting alternatives out there and FFR guys are always willing to help out. Best of luck on your planning and decision making processes.

Thanks for the welcome...and apologies for the late response.
No movement yet on acquiring a Factory Five - need to move much of the present stock first.
Would enjoy talking and seeing some you guys' cars or even helping out as I could.

Okay, the first step has been taken. This past week I sold my 1982 Porsche 911SC.
That's the base cash for the coupe or Roadster.
Now to find new homes for my two vintage Austin Cooper S cars!

Have you had an opportunity to test drive or test fit yourself in a roadster? I have one and I am 208 and 6 ft. I'm being honest, it was a slightly tight fit with the seats on the floor. So I added sliders which raised the kit seat by 1.5 inches and did a mod on the driver's box to move the crash support a couple of inches forward. Now I fit perfectly with a little spare room for the left foot. You can also do another mod to give you another inch or so for the driver's seat position toward the back. That would probably help you if you have long legs. It depends a little on your body type (short or long waisted and short or long legs). So, since you have 4 inches and almost 100 lbs on m3, I would be concerned. Maybe the coupe guys can chime in to see if there additional space for a "Wookie" in that car. Just a suggestion. Good luck, WEK.
