I'm looking into building a Type 65, and was wondering if anyone on here has done it without buying the kit? I would prefer to buy a frame, and aluminum chassis panels first. Once I have the roller, engine and trans done I will buy the body, trim and interior. My reasoning for this is partly financial, and partly due to limited space in my garage. I'm not even sure if buying the parts individually from Factory Five is an option. I was going to call them this week and ask a few questions, but I figured they were busy dealing with earthquakes and hurricanes.

Thanks for the input.

Not an option:(

Your probably better off trying to find a uncompleted Coupe and go that way.

Good point Hanki. That is sometimes the way to go. However are you willing to settle for the black body (or even the old gray) when the red can cut your time in half??

Just a thought
