I saw this in Reincarnation magazine today:
Kit car & Specialty Vehicle Show
June 30, 2019
10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Automobile Driving Museum
610 Lairport St, El Segundo, California
Free for spectators, cheap for exhibitors.
Anybody gone to this one before? Is it worth braving the 405?

The A.H.A. was dissolved this last year. Sad thing is that the reason they gave was lack to the fill the board of directors. I and others had expressed interest in breathing new life into the club and our calls and emails went un-answered. It's too bad, many of us got our first exposure to Factory 5 because of the Fun In The Sun Car Show. After F5R started doing the Huntington Beach the A.H.A. lost more than half their attendees. Nice to see someone else is trying to "pick up the piece", so to speak. We'll have to see how much interest they get.
Link to the A.H.A. announcement.

I didn't realize that this was connected to the A.H.A. I had gone to a couple of their shows when I worked in Sylmar, but participation dropped off drastically the last few years. I hope that this event gets a better turnout.

It's not. As I stated, the A.H.A. dissolved this past year.

I don't see a Specialty Construction Car Show on the Automobile Driving Museum web site for Sunday June 30. Is anyone aware of the status of this event?

Wife and I went to this show and we were somewhat disappointed. Very small - maybe 25 cars total (including 6 street legal Ariel Atoms!). FFR was not well represented: 1 roadster, 1 Type 65 and 1 or 2 818's (memory is failing). However, the Automotive Driving Museum was open and filled with a wide variety of antique and classic cars. That part was well worth the trip. I recommend the ADM for anyone, but especially for those with children. Many of the cars are open to sit in for photos, and the docents give rides in a variety of classic cars every Sunday.
