Can anyone recommend an alternative fuel filter to the provided FFR filter, preferably something transparent so I can see the fuel moving through and the filters condition.

I'm really happy with the Trick Flow canister filter https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tfs-23006. I really wanted a canister filter so that I could replace the element without having to take apart the fuel line, and everything else just seemed cheaply made or ridiculously expensive.

In terms of transparent, you might find it tough to be able to mount it anywhere that is easily viewable at a quick glance but also protected from something that might break it. At least with the canister filter you know it's going to be well protected and it's really easy to unscrew it and check every once and while.

X2 on the Trick Flow. Super high quality. High flow and filtration. Have used it on several builds.

If it's on the pressure side of a EFI fuel pump, I don't think you're going to find any transparent filter rated for the pressure.

Fittings included? Do I need to buy any fittings? Just getting ready to get back on this build in the next week and want to have this ready on the bench instead of waiting for it in the mail.

There are no fittings included with the filter. It has 3/8 in. NPT Female Inlet/Outlet. You'll need fittings that connect that with whatever your fuel line setup is. In my case, I've done AN fittings. So used Russell 614225 Fitting, Straight, -6 AN Female to 3/8 in. NPT Male on the outlet, and Russell 660463 Fitting, Straight, -6 AN Male to 3/8 in. NPT Male on the inlet. While you're at it, suggest picking up a spare filter element. Trick Flow TFS-RF006. Good to have on hand if/when you need it.
