I am having a real problem getting the wiper switch nut and the ignition nut tight against the dash. Is there a special tool or technique that I can use? They both seem to have small slots or shapes that would accept some tool, but due to the odd shape I can fathom what tool I would use off the shelf?

Thanks in Advance

Probably not the best tool for the job but I use channel lock pliers with electrical tape on the jaws and it works every time.

Taped up channel locks for the front, and then a bicycle wrench (it's super thin) for the back. Hold the front, tighten the back.

Thanks guys! I’ll give that a shot.

Yes there is a special tool.

However, it's easy to make. Find a metal tube that is the same diameter as the bezel nut. Cut away metal from the end leaving only two nibs that will fit into the recesses of the bezel. You'll always have that tool for future work on those switches.

Used a very small screwdriver blade to push them around.
