View Full Version : I need a little help with high beam wiring.

I have tried to research this and I can't figure it out. I believe that I have wired my switches correctly per the RF instructions. I used the 3 pole On-On switch from the kit for the high beam switch and as a result, when it is on "low" and I turn on the headlights, I get lows. When I switch to "high", I get high beams alone. I assume that it would be ideal to get low and high beams when I turn on the high beams. Is this correct? If so, do I need to work a relay into this circuit. I feel like I am missing something.

if you look at the wiring diagram you will see a wire for high and a wire for low beams so I think what you have is correct.

David W is correct. The two don't burn together on high beam. One circuit in the harness and bulb for low beam, another for high beam. Aside from the fact that's how they're designed to work, if both low and high were powered at the same time, would possibly overload the harness and switch. With the stock lights anyway.

Ok. Thanks. I am good then. For some reason I thought that it was Norma for both beams at once. Thank you for the education.
