Congrats are owed to our very modest Director of R&D Jim Schenck who, driving his own Factory Five Challenge Car (2012 Spec), set the fastest time of the day by a full second at the Track Club USA Autocross on August 6th, 2011. Check out the video below:

Jim was running against some of the fastest of the "regulars" on the 6th. Up until this event FFRs were considered fast but not really in contention for FTD (fastest time of the day) among the top drivers. Jim changed that. He beat a previous FTD winner (a modified C6 Z06) by almost a second. It was a pretty impressive bit of driving. He was off course on his first run and then just kept getting faster for the rest of his runs. I don't think he hit a cone. People were just shaking their heads. Of course Jim was very humble about the whole thing. Nice job Jim!

Great run!

What tires were on the car? I see they are Hoosiers but are they A6's or full slicks? What size, 275's all around?
