The manual tells me to trim the mounting boss on my TKO 600. The picture in the manual is not clear. Could someone post a picture that shows how much to grind away.
Also, there is a oil filter relocator. Is that necessary for all engines or for the Coyote motor only?
Thanks for your help.

Found this picture a while back. TKO cut line is shown. For the oil filter relocater, unless you're doing something unusual, not needed for the Coyote. Also not typically needed for a SBF. Highly recommend that you don't use one unless needed.

Thanks, Edward. I was pretty sure I didn't want to use the relocator. And the picture clears up my confusion.

If there's any remaining desire to use the relocator, search for problems people have had with it. Or just accept Paul's advice and put it in the 'metal waste' bin.

Interesting, this post. I had not seen anything about them being bad. I installed it on my build. I have about 250 miles so far with no signs of problems except that I had one of the plugs left a bit loose so had a seeping leak until I tightened down. What kind of problems have been found with the relocate?

Well you're already found one of them. More places to leak. There was an extensive thread a year or two where a guy burned up a brand new crate Coyote in about two minutes on the first start because he had the wrong oil filter adapter. That's the one that sticks in my mind. It's one of those things that just adds complexity with no advantages, assuming you can spin the filter on and off from the stock block location.
