When I opened the boxes for the IRS calipers there are many parts that are not used in the assembly instructions. Also the brake pads box has some sheet metal parts and small screws that are also not shown in the instructions. It just says put the pads in the caliper but not how. What is the proper way to install the pads. What about all the left over parts.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Jeff

What calipers do you have?

It takes about 3 hands to put the pads in.
The 2 metal pieces that the pads slide in don’t clip in first like I have always done with other brake pads. You must hold them in place and put both brake pads in at the same time.

Good luck

I was also confused.

If you are using FFR supplied mustang brakes, only the front brakes use a sheet metal clip. See picture attached. For the rear, refer to the online IRS brakes manual. You have to look closely at the pictures. The rear pads have a round spring that you have to compress in order to slide the pad into the caliper notch. It may take a few tries to get both ends of the pad down far enough to slide into the caliper. I was able to install one pad at a time.

Hopefully these pictures help...102835102836
