View Full Version : Trunk lock part in the manual doesn't fit

Any of you have problems with assembling the trunk lock?
My Latch Spacer pn 26165 is different than what's in the manual. This is the part that holds the cable. See pic and #3 in the drawing shown in the manual. The offset of the arm is wrong. Guess I could bend in 180º (if it won't break) then flip the part over.

I think I got one like that too a few years back. Call FFR and they will send you a new one.

I am not as far along as you are but you KNEW when I saw this I would have to go out and check my parts bag....... Mine matches the drawing so I am cool. I hope. And thx for heads up.

Looks like I'll be calling FF in the morning.
Just found out the hood uses the same latch spacer (same p/n) and that one is also bent in the wrong direction.

Andy I'm not at the point where I'd be installing the hood or the trunk.
I still need to make the drivers door fit but it's too cold and windy to grind the edges of the door so I decided to put some of the smaller assemblies together.

I had the same problem, I was told by FFR that the GTM has that part bent one way and the 33 is bent the other way. I think someone put the GTM parts in the 33 parts bin.
