Adding new circuits to the standard Ron Francis wire harness and panel

I've starting putting in the standard Ron Francis wiring harness. I have a few extra electrical circuits that I want to add: backup light, line lock, wireless door unlock, etc... Do you guys just piggy back on existing circuits? is there some unused positions in the fuse panel? an accepted standard way to add something on the side? Did a couple of searches last night and found a number of threads talking about these things but never saw the question of how it was wired into the fuse panel....

No way to add additional circuits to the provided RF panel that I'm aware of. I haven't tried and haven't seen anyone else try it either. But you have multiple options. (1) Depending on your build, you may have unused circuits that can be re-purposed. (2) Yes you could piggyback on another circuit as long as you don't exceed the current rating. Just be aware that some circuits are ignition switch controlled, some are battery, e.g. always on. I wouldn't put the backup light on a battery circuit, for example. The light would stay on all the time if you left it in reverse. (3) There are a number of add-on panels you can buy to add circuits. Painless and RF both offer several varieties. (4) You can add circuits yourself pretty easily using either in-line fuses or circuit breakers. Tap the battery feed directly if you want them always on. Use a relay to switch them on with the ignition circuit. Pretty simple if you're familiar with those kinds of things.

I used a fuse block from AZ, with a extra relay I had hanging around. I ran the control wire of the relay off the radio wire and fed the other relay wire off the battery directly. With wire and all it cost me $35.

I added a couple auxiliary fuse blocks with breakers to a panel in the passenger side lower floorboard. It offers constant hot and switched circuits all fused from Painless...

Yes you can add extra circuits to the Ron Francis fuse panel. I added 4 more to mine, Electric power steering, backup light, Lokar sport mode shift switches, curse control, get a RF catalog you can order the required socket pins for the fuses

It seems like you're suggesting there are spare unused spaces in the fuse panel but that isn't the case so maybe I'm misunderstanding what you said.

Yes Curse control Texas has a lot of wide open space our interstate speed 70, 75, 80 and where I live it is 85 mph . From where I live it's more than 500 miles in any detection to get out of the state Texas so curse control helps

I am using the Ford- universal 250-1882 with dash pad from The Cruise control store.com. works good!

I am also using universal 250-1882 with the GM Roseta pedal interface harness it works grate holds speed to 1 MPR. I bought mine from the Cruise Control store.com also

There should be some wires that you are not using that you could use for something else, (radio, radio memory, heater, electric choke, etc.) I did that and just remarked the wire for what i was using it for.
