Was looking at the assembly manual for automatic transmission a 3500 stall converter is recommended,why?

Overall vehicle weight. The car is so much lighter then the original vehicles that those transmissions came in (Mustang/Camaro/Pickup) that the effective stall speed will be much lower. Sticking a stock or low range converter in the car will be miserable, especially with manual brakes.
