Welp my Gen 2. 33 hot rod chassis #1121 complete kit was delivered today by Eric from Stewart Transport.
So I went to build school last February. I was intending to build a steel bodied 33. When I finally got someone from F5 to say no more steel bodies I decided to go ahead and order the regular body.
I have to say After my inventory and body inspection today, (With help from friends), I like the look and finish of the car body. I did not have the chassis coated by F5 and chassis welds look good. So for day one I’m very happy, Besides the back ordered parts I mean. Haha.
Do I have a plan.....kinda. Since I’m retired and have the time, I want to complete the build in one year or less. I do have some experience with building a few race cars, also my Dad owned and operated an automotive garage in Marin co. Ca. For nearly 50 years so our family has an automotive background. Hope that helps me now. I’m trying to do a fairly simple build nothing that I haven’t seen you guys do already.
The 33 is going to be a fenderless roadster. No top, maybe add a soft top later.
Engine: Full roller Small block Chevy 400. Transmission is a 700r4 from TCI.
Fuel system FI tech dual quad fuel system.
Rear is IRS with 3:55 gears.
I’ve been lurking on this board for years reading and learning as much as possible.
Now I’m probably going to be asking some silly questions (insert eye roll here) that have already been asked, because for whatever reason I can’t seem to use the search tool on this forum worth a darn. Anyway here’s to day one done.

To search the forums, put this into a Google search. site:thefactoryfiveforum.com <what you are searching for>
For example, to search for 33 wipers, do this:
site:thefactoryfiveforum.com 33 wipers
