I just purchased some stainless long tube headers from FFV and I would like to keep the heat inside them.

Has anyone tried the eastwood header treatment and does it work very well?
If I have them ceramic coated I would probably only like to have the inside done. I kind of like the look of the stainless.

To be very blunt, do not bother with the Eastwood ceramic coating kit.

I had my Summit headers coated by a local shop here in SoCal and they came out great. BUT, they stared out as mild steel, not stainless. I have also had stock cast iron manifolds done there in past and they came out great also. Never had a problem.... But, having said that... I'm also sure I would NOT do it myself.

Coating a stainless header is a great idea, but doing it yourself the first time would be tricky. Id pay someone to do it, the time and money you will waste with trial and error isent worth the headache.

I just dropped them off at a place about an hour away from me.

Thanks for the advice, especially not to do the Eastwood thing.
