The Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, Katy Perry, Jimmy Buffett and Chris Stapleton are among the acts playing the 2019 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The 50th Jazz Fest will take place over two consecutive weekends, on April 25 – April 28 and on May 2 – 5.

The massive 2019 Jazz Fest lineup also features Bob Seger And The Silver Bullet Band, Santana, Van Morrison, Al Green, Earth, Wind & Fire, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue with Nevilles, Gladys Knight, The Revivalists, Leon Bridges, John Fogerty, Chaka Khan, Herbie Hancock, Tank and The Bangas, Bonnie Raitt, Irma Thomas, Gary Clark Jr., The Head and The Heart, The Doobie Brothers, Jimmy Cliff, Ziggy Marley, Aaron Neville, Boz Scaggs, Galactic, Jerry Lee Lewis, Indigo Girls, Rebirth Brass Band, Mavis Staples, Los Lobos, Big Freedia, Kamasi Washington, Rita Coolidge, Buddy Guy, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Taj Mahal & the Phantom Blues Band, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk,Ani DiFranco, the Radiators, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Little Feat, Anders Osborne, North Mississippi Allstars, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Foundation of Funk, George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners, Steve Earle & the Dukes, The Soul Rebels and many others.

Update:...Jazzfest tickets went on sale yesterday and guess what?
...............The day that the Rolling Stones are scheduled to play Sold Out in about 15 minutes.
...............Anyway, there are plenty of tickets left for the other days with plenty of great acts to see.
...............As for me and Mrs. G, that's Mrs. Go-Dad for short, we plan to go the first and last day of the festival.

Been to JazzFest many times. My wife's from Metaire. The last few times it was not as enjoyable. The crowds have become so large and it just wasn't
fun anymore. I will say it is the best deal around as far a music and ticket prices.

I agree that the crowds have gotten a bit out of hand; however, you never see a line up like this anyplace else except New Orleans.
For the record, We were hoping to go on the 1st Thursday and then fly out to Huntington Beach to see what that was all about, but it looks like that gig is a bust.
