We don't lock up Coupe owners here, rather, we provide the often needed restraint.
Raise your right hand and say after me,
"I (say your name), do swear/affirm, that upon acceptance of this "Revered Coupe Jacket", will willingly subject myself to all manner of frustration and abrasion that my FFR Type 65 will provide. I further pledge that any and all fellow Coupe builders will have free reign in using the cash available in my wallet as they see fit to improve my build plan. I will not look down upon our fellow Roadster builders, but rather take pity on those not talented enough to build a race car with a roof, So Help Me God!"
It is my pleasure to present you with the "Revered Coupe Jacket", Here's your sign!!

Congratulations, and welcome to the madness!!! Our friends with roadsters get the "Is it real?" question....We get the, "What is that?....Is that a Ferrari?" question.....However you choose to build it, no matter what driveline package you cook up, or what color of paint, get ready to be "the" bell of the ball where ever you go!

Thanks for the welcome, folks. And thanks for the official jacket; looks like I'll have to supply my own Factory Five patch for it.
It will likely be a mild Ford racing crate with a yet-to-be-disclosed 5-speed; 3-link; A/C (this is southern Virginia, after all); and about seven tons of insulation. Color is still up in the air except not blue since I want to be able to tell it from all the others in the parking lot. :) (What am I thinking? Mine will be the one at the empty end of the lot with the Rent-a-Ghurka standing beside it.) Or I could paint it in clear-coat only so's you can see all the insides.... Or by the time everybody spends my tiny bit of money, Dutch Boy gloss latex, rolled and brushed.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the forum (and sorry it's a day late). I recently started building and it has been a great experience for a litany of reasons.

Congrats. To keep you from hurting yourself any more than necessary, DO NOT visit my build blog for the coupe I am building. :) It's in my sig but don't visit it. ;)
I see you already have been sworn in to the coupe club and got your jacket. I could have used two of those, I escaped from the first one.

Ron, I've seen some of your posts. Next time I'm in Halifax, I'm going to steal your garage and everything in it.
rj, thanks, and good luck with your build. I've laid in a large supply of duct tape so I should have no problems, right?

Colonist, I will be at VIR the weekend of Oct 14-15. If you're in the area stop by and I'll give you a ride. My build is similar to what you have planned. BTW these guys aren't kidding, they will spend your money :D

Pat -- wow, is that tempting!
"Stopping by" would be a little difficult, though. I couldn't be much further away from Danville and still be in Virginia (think Jamestown). I appreciate the offer, though; it's definitely the best one I've had in a while.
