I must have about 50 of them and the majority are Lennox.

I'll second that thought - Lennox
Edit: I also have a complete set of electricians hole punches that I use for precision holes . . .

The majority of mine are also Lennox, I do have some Milwaukee Hole Dozer too.
No problems with either of them.

Lenox with a twist.
1. I replaced the drill bit with a piece of solid steel rod.
2. Then I drill my pilot hole with the same size bit as the solid steel rod.
3. Once the pilot hole is drilled I go at it with the hole saw.
4. The solid rod keeps the hole saw from wanting to walk around.
Hope this helps and if it doesn't, then that's okay too.

That's a very good idea. Sometimes I find that the center hole has enlarged a little (since side forces on the drill bit allow it to cut into the material a little) allowing the hole cutter to wander a little oversizing the hole. Your idea prevents that. I'll have to try it..............thank you!
