If running a 5.0 Coyote Gen 2, which fuel system is the correct one to install-

Return System or a Dead Head system?

There is another solution. Use the corvette fuel filter which has the return and regulator built right in. You would only need to run one line up to the fuel rail. Many of us have used this successfully and it drastically simplifies the fuel line routing.

Hey Henry. Agreed using that regulator is an option many have chosen. It's the same concept as we confirmed to Martin, e.g. regulator before the fuel rails.
Off topic sort of, but that GM regulator has been used for the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Coyote's where the Ford recommended pressure is 55 PSI. I believe the GM piece is fixed at 58 PSI, and seems to work OK. Ford is calling for the Gen 3 Coyote to be set at 65 PSI. I suspect because of the added direct injection (DI). I wonder if it will still be a workable setup.

Very good points. I didn't realize the Gen 3's needed 65 PSI. I'll be starting a new 33 with a Gen 3 on 1/15 and will check it out.

Okay, I feel a little dumb but can someone post up a picture of the regulator you got in your complete kit for the Coyote. Maybe I don't know what it looks like but I can't seem to find a fuel regulator. It was listed on my POL list originally and I never marked down getting it but FFR says it was sent. I do have two fuel pressure gauges, I hope they did not send me an extra one of those instead of a regulator. If I do need to buy a regulator, what would everyone recommend? I am going to be going with a Coyote, most likely gen 2 as I have a 190lph pump and only 1/4 return on the fuel hanger.

They might send out different makes but this is what I got, blue box, in the kit. They all function the same. Its a good plan to replace the gauge with a pipe plug once you get your fuel pressure set. Gauges have been known to leak/break & cause fuel fires.
There is also a vacuum port on the regulator. Check your install instruction to see if its used in your application.
Okay, looks like I did not get one. I am guessing they sent me a second fuel pressure gauge instead of the regulator on accident. Guess I will need to buy one. What would people recommend? It sounded like the Corvettes filter style would be easy but I don't know what generation to order or how to set it up. I have the fuel pump and lines from Forte so I don't seem to have a long enough return line to go all the way to the engine bay. It seems like what he sent me is set up for a regulator in the back of the car. If there is a cheap and easy option, that would be wonderful. However, if I should just run a hard line to the engine bay now and use an adjustable regulator, I would rather figure that out now then later. Thanks for the help everyone.
Found that those Corvette filter/regulators are pretty cheap so I just went ahead and ordered one from Amazon for $22. Looks like it should work and for $22 it is not the end of the world if I am wrong. I just wish I had ordered it earlier instead of spending hours looking for the part.
