My tachometer does not give an accurate reading ; it is not stable when I shift. I have Ron Francis gauges from MK 4 complete kit. My engine is a 351W stroked 427 by Engine Factory, how could I fix this problem ? Thanks !

On mine, I used the negative side of my coil( I believe) for the signal to the tach. This caused the tach to be very erratic. I contacted Speedhut and they said the tach needed an additional resistor inside. I shipped it to them for the repair. When it was re-installed, it was steady as a rock. HTH.

I had the same problem with my Speedhut tach. They fixed it and when I got it back the sweep wasn't as bright as the others so back it went. All seems well now. But the funny part is the tach has about 10,000 miles on it in travel distance to Utah and back for all the trips it made. It will be a long time before the car catches up.
