Hey Guys,
I've spent a lot of computer time looking for a wiring diagram for a turn signal switch from my 92 donor. I didn't get the plug with the turn signal stalk so I purchased a turn signal repair plug which has 10 "white" wires. I have not been able to find a detailed diagram to translate the wiring locations. By the way, my turn signal switch only has seven male contact posts for the plug so all wires will not be active. Also, I am trying to wire this switch into an American Autowire Power Plus 12 harness which uses a standard GM type turn signal plug (8 wire). I searched on mustang forums mostly but with no luck. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you,
WEK

Alright, my scanner is FUBAR, so I'll have to simply type this in and hope you understand...
If you look at the diagram posted by Rick, the multifunction switch wiring shows a number for each terminal (the first number in each string). These are where the wires go, and I've matched them to the AAW wiring in their turn signal switch using my old AAW PP 12 manual, but double check yours in case anything changed:
2-RF turn lamp to AAW dark blue labeled RF turn
2-R turn indicator at dash to AAW dark blue dash indicator
3-LF turn lamp AAW light blue labeled LF turn
3-R turn indicator at dash to AAW light blue labeled dash indicator
5-RR turn lamp to AAW dark green labeled RR turn
5-IN from hazard flasher (if used) to AAW brown labeled hazard flasher to switch
8-IN from turn signal flasher to AAW purple labeled turn flasher to switch
9-LR turn lamp to AAW yellow labeled LR turn
9-IN from hazard flasher (if used) to AAW brown labeled hazard flasher to switch
Of course if you're only using one dash indicator you'll need diodes for the indicator wires. Also, the above wiring is setup to use one pair of taillights for turn and the other for brake (using the third brake light wire), as shown in the AAW FFR supplement sheet. If you want the brake lights and/or turn lights on all four then you'll need to follow the AAW wiring instructions for that and/or wire in relays or trailer controller, as the Mustang switch doesn't have the brake lights going through it (they're on a separate circuit for the Fox Mustangs up to '93.

First: Thank you Richard and Mark! (good visual and text)
The numbers and color coding seems to be good for the turn signal wires.
I have a question about the hazard common feed (purple wire). I don't have an 8 on my switch but there is a post labeled 44 in the same position. That seems consistent with Richard's diagram. There is no hazard button on the switch but there looks like there is a place in the molding for one. So the question is: Can I run wire(s) out of the turn signal switch that will hook to a toggle and activate the hazard signal?
I am using two dash indicator lights (no diodes), single tail light with third brake light option trying to keep it simple.

Here is the hazard switch wiring. i used the stock mustang hazard switch and the rear defrost switch side by side in the bracket supplied by FFR and used the defrost switch for flash to pass. now lets give credit where credit is due i got these drawings during my build from Art at Wire Diet best money i spent on my build.
