Have a GTM with a Mendeola SDR5 transmission and there seems to not be any kind of reverse lockout. It is pretty easy to be going down the highway and instead of going from 4th to 5th you end up trying to go into reverse. Maybe this is a shifter setup issue, or maybe a cable adjustment issue, maybe there should be some type of reverse lockout. Car has shifter cables. I have looked everywhere and can not find any information on a reverse lockout for the Mendeola. Any information would be great as I have no idea on this.

I have the same transaxle and have wondered the same thing. It would have been nice if reverse was located down from 5th but I assume there is a mechanical reason they couldn't set it up that way.

What's the shift pattern on those? Where is reverse located?

Anybody do any more work to figure out a reverse lockout option on the Mendeola?

I'm still working on my ECU wringing pinout and I should have an open low side switch that I can wire up for this. I may just run the wiring for it and try to work through it later.
