There were six original Coupes produced in 1965. In 2011, Factory Five Racing launched our Gen 2 Coupe and shipped our 500th car! Without taking anything away from the original cars, which won the 1965 FIA World Championships...FFR Coupes have earned their own stripes and Factory Five customers are truly building the modern history of this cool design.

This week, Stewart Transport is running a bit late and we have seven coupes awaiting pick-up. I thought it would make a cool photo. There were six original Coupes ever made...we made seven in the last few weeks! Boo-yah!

Wow - that Team Salvaggio photo could have been taken 46 years ago; that's too cool.

Dave - You're making it hard to resist a second FFR project(ile) in my garage.

Dave, that's cool, it reminds me of the Friedman shots of the original coups all in various states of work in the farmers shop.

Please accept my sincere apologies for drooling all over the screen on your picture of those 7 coupes.
It was unintentional and also unavoidable.
There is also a wet spot on my shorts but that doesn't effect your picture!:D

I got home late as I was running shifter karts in the parking lot with the freshmen welders. The kids are fast and had fun. I locked up the building at about 7 and went home with clear skies and cool, dry air ending a great day at FFR. John Kabicinski (sp) stopped by (he is building a KILLER GTM) as well as about 10 other visitors and a good friend Frank from 1996 (!)... Anyway, it was a good day and this picture goes in my lifetime photo album of accomplishments.

The kids are out with friends, the house is quiet and I am here checking emails and cruising the forum. Maybe its that I'm enjoying that great Friday night feeling shared by all of us who put in a solid week of honest work, maybe I am just tired, whatever it is, I am filled with gratitude for the job and for the 15 years of great times. I am one of the luckiest guys in the world and Factory Five has been a great adventure beyond words.

From one guy in Rhode Island USA, Thanks guys for making this possible. I will spend my life working as hard as I can to repay this great debt to all of you and to this great country where so much is still possible. Sorry to get all drippy on you all, but I can't wait to look at this photo many years from now, and reflect on the many stories we all built together. I and am working tomorrow. A nice guy Terry F. is picking up his stage 2 hot rod at FFR and I cant wait to get back in tomorrow!

If everything goes well they will all ship with the new glass rear hatches, which, like the mendy trans has been a struggle. Last I heard the supplier, while late is close to shipping. Thanks for the support and job Willy, I'll be in FFR in the am and will check the name tags (all of these were paid for and awaiting shipment). Dave

Dave....That's an amazing photo! There are seven very happy people out there waiting for their fun to begin!!! Woo! Hoo!!

This post was a great way to end a very good weekend.......I just got home from Thunderhill, where Team Salvaggio (Thunder Valley Racing) fielded the #28 Coupe in two enduros this weekend, and we podiumed in both races. I ran the Saturday enduro solo, and with the help of fellow Coupe owner/builder John Card on the radio and working the car in the pits, we finished 2nd in class, crossing the line just 3 seconds behind P1!! Dave Standridge (2007 FFR National Champion) co-drove with us for today's enduro, and we finished on the podium again. Team Thunder Valley Racing was P1 overall after the first hour, and it was sure cool to see our Coupe listed at the top of the chart! Andy's still recovering, so he couldn't be with us, but we know he would have been proud!!!

Good luck to all the new owners and builders! Welcome to the fun!!!
