Le Mans Cap Gasket gasket missing

I seem to be missing the gasket that sits between the Le mans gas cap and the body. Any suggestions on what to make one out of?

Our suggestion is don't bother, we always throw the gasket in the trash. Reason being, if you spill fuel around the filler cap the fuel ends up sitting under the lip of the gasket and destroys the paint.

Glad I asked. I was going to make one out of 1/16th or 1/8 inch rubber. Thanks for the advice.
