I toasted my engine at the track Monday (restrictive supertrapp causes overheating plus f'ing idiot stupid driver ignores it).
I need a new engine.
I'm thinking the ford racing 363. It's a 302. It has 500HP. It's complete enough for me since I already have all the stuff that goes on the outside of the engine. The brand is strong. It ships in 5 days from Jegs.
I was thinking of the roush competition engines anvil (370ci, 500HP), but they seem a little disorganized at the moment. I understand that the manager, Ben Mens just left, and I'd rather not buy an engine from disorganized people.
Is there a reason not to buy from ford racing? I'm not interested in waiting all summer, and if they aren't local (RI), they better have a really big name, like Roush (proper), Ford, or similar.
thanks!
