Arghhhhh Transmission woes

Here I am getting ready for the delivery of my new engine whch I decided to upgrade from what was originally ordered. In the meantime I decided to send my Donor T-5 in for a check at my local transmission shop. The owner calls me yesterday and says the transmission is toast. I stopped by after work to take a look and both input shaft and mainshaft fixed gears are done. So now I need to go out and buy another one. The interesting part is that the coast of a new one is within a few bucks of what I paid for the engine upgrades I did......sigh. Upon explaining to my wife and telling her that I would look for another used one she just says "No go buy a new one!". She doesn't even ask anymore how the budget is holding out as we burned that piece of paper long ago.

There I feel better now!

In the long run, with dollar cost averaging over time, it's just pennies!!!!:)

Hi Paul,
With the cost of a rebuild between $700-1200 it is always best to purchase a new unit for $1295.00. I have more on order and should get another pallet of T-5s in the next week or so. I have free shipping in the US and special billing for Canadian customers if you want.
