I sold my MK II last night and looking to buy a IV very soon. This time I want to go with the I.R.S. but don't want to buy the rear-end package when I purchase the kit. So my question would be can I purchase the kit with and I.R.S. frame with my kit and then purchase the components at a later date? Also I am wanting to go carbed again, does FFR still supply a harness and is it from someone other the what came with my MK II?

The IRS option is for the cage, arms, CV's, and coil overs. The pumpkin, spindles, hubs and brakes are not included in the current IRS option.
The chassis wiring harness we currently carry is a Ron Francis unit. It is different than what came with the Mk2 kit.

So is the answer no? What I'm wanting to know is when I purchase the kit can I purchase it with the irs frame and then later on buy the arms, cv and coilovers?

I believe the answer is yes, you buy the base kit and indicate the you want to use IRS and they will acommodate the order to accept the Tbird/couger IRS, the Ron Francis wiring harness is offered for carb and is phenominal!!!!!!! HTH....Steven

Actually, I think the answer to this question is "no".
When you buy the IRS option (even on the base kit), it comes with the
arms, cv and coilovers
You supply the pumpkin, spindles, hubs and brakes. New or used, your choice.
I had my parts (pumpkin, spindles, hubs and brakes) before I ordered my kit. If I could just get my buddy to finish putting my rear-diff together, I'd have it installed in no time! Spindles, hubs, and brakes are done :)

Slimcobra,
I believe everyone is right on this. I'm in Canada and I ordered a kit with the IRS. The Canadian DOT won't allow a kit to cross the boarder with any steering, suspension, braking or fuel systems. So to make a long story short I truely got a base kit. It's somewhat cheaper 12,490 plus 1,199 for the IRS and all I got was the cage welded in and the half shafts. So I think you could order close to what your looking for with a bit of persuasion.

Andy
