More power but an expensive way to go if you aren't racing.

I know. Cool factor is high though...and some extra hp along the way too..... how simple can a dry sump system be?

Hi Sailor,
A dry sump in a race application properly built can save some HP. Both dry sump engines I built were to keep oil pressure in the corners. Nothing worse than winding er up so 7600 and seeing 20 psi!!! OUCH...
So properly installing a dry sump pan (with a crank scraper) figure if you want a 3-4 or 5 stage pump, install said pump with brackets & drive pulley, HP-6 (or equivalent) oil filter & dry sump tank & breather. Figure the parts listed plus all fittings and lines will cost about $3000.00 or more. That said, it is inexpensive compared to a major engine failure that costs so much more (I know)......
Call me if you need anything or have any questions.. I can send pictures

His latest developments are external slave clutch release conversions & cable release conversions too. Now Tremec sells the GM TKO-500 & TKO-600 as a direct replacement thru their Elite distribution system. Forte's is one of 11 Elite distributors in the US & Canada that carries the complete line of Tremec transmissions including T-5, TKO-500, TKO-600 & T-56 Magnum. Cool, no, I was more just curious to see if anybody went that rout. I know it's more expensive, complicated etc of a system but the LCF is SO high.
