Hey guys,
I have been saving for a FFC for about 15 years and should be ready to push the button in early 2019. I was wondering if any of you have a FFC in Wisconsin that I could sit in. I just want to make sure this car will work for me before I place my order.

Wow thanks for all the responses guys. I can see this fourm will be a great resource when I'm doing my build. Im about 6'2 180# so I think I will fit ok, but it will be great to actually sit in one so I can place my order with some confidence.

Yes you will fit fine. My son is 6' 2" and about 200lbs. He sat in mine last weekend and I have the seat one bolt forward on the Breeze seat mounts. I'm 5' 10". He was fine. With it all the way back plenty of room.

I'm in Northern IL. Always welcome to come by to see my progress.

I'm in Verona and SlowLeak is just up the road from me with his near completed Coyote roadster. He was nice enough to show it to me and even take me for a quick spin. I am only 5'7" so there was plenty of leg room, but I do understand why some builders obsess over space for your feet. I occasionally fat-foot while shifting or braking in my donor Mustang and expect it will be at least that bad in the roadster. I can also imagine the passenger (my wife) wanting more space for her feet. Neither of these is worry enough to discourage me and once I finally have the kit in my garage, I can decide whether to just live with it or slightly enlarge the footboxes since my engine will be relatively small (302). Good luck, seems we have a good community of builders here in WI.

By all means, expand the passenger foot box! It's not particularly expensive (~$200 in material at https://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?pid=1240&step=4&showunits=inches&id=76&top_cat=60; use 0.090 for floor if you're not satisfied with solidity of driver side), not particularly difficult (use cardboard to get the size & shape of panels right), and if you screw up easy enough to replace the bad panel. Take a look at Post #179 of my build log (https://www.ffcars.com/forums/17-factory-five-roadsters/508121-phileas_fogg-s-mk-4-roadster-build-10.html) to see what's involved.
