Hopefully this isn't too dumb of a question, but here it is!

I recently purchased a FFR Roadster, but I'm not sure what series it is. It was built in 2004; the vinn is FR3964K. I even have the original assembly manual, but I still can't find anything clearly identifying the series. Can you tell me from the Vinn; or how else I can identify it for sure? Thought maybe it's the '3' in the Vinn that identifies it?

This is the most awsome vehicle I've ever driven, but I feel a little less knowledegable than I should be!

Thanks.

Ralph

Based on your number and vintage I'd bet on it being a Mk2. The Mk3 entered into production about March 2004. With the introduction of the Mk3 they changed from the serial number format you show to their new system which reads F5R100****RD. Some easy visual giveaways---Mk3 has a tubular "X" under the door openings for side impact protection, Mk 2 does not. Mk3s have a removable transmission "A" frame mount, Mk2s do not. Mk2 bodies were gray gelcoat, early Mk3s were white, later Mk3s black. Mk3 bodies are wider at the rear wheel openings.

Sounds like you're enjoying it!

Steering shaft comes through the front of the firewall on a Mrk III, out the side of the foot box on a Mrk II.
