Transmission getting fitted in tunnel - mounting a now 32 gal fuel in the rear - along with dry sump tank in the back / and figuring out where to put half a dozen various exchangers will be first on the plate for Gordon to tackle.
Radiator standard location - trans cooler, air/water exchangers for turbos, Oil cooler, maybe a differential cooler as well (in rear) - not to mention stuffing two 72-76mm turbos under hood and associated dump valves and exhaust piping will make for no free space just about anywhere in car.....

Transmission bell housing a little wide - some frame tubing will need "adjusted" - looks like 32 gal fuel cell fits without issue - waiting on getting some photos still - will add as soon as I get them. Hard being 10,000 miles away.....:)

Turbos placed - just in front of foot boxes - left/right twin Borg Warner EFR-8374-1.05 non waste gate. Gordon tried the Garrett 71mm's - but didn't fit - just too big of diameter....
The Borg Warner twins should spool up just fine. Going with water intercooler exchanger for air charge into the Cobra Jet intake. We should hit max power around 21-22 psi - so nothing crazy high on boost. Lot's of items to fit still before chassis goes to powder coating. Looking to see if Bosch ABS might be within the ever expanding budget - car is going to be crazy quick and the ABS will probably save more than one set tires.......
Gordon taking his time to do it right (which I fully support) - there is no rush to get car out. Have my ZR1 to play with when I final get out of Saudi for good - which is just 3 weeks away....ah home, home sweet home soon....

Now we really need some pictures!

Pictures will come - Gordon trying to get all frame mods done then will take some shots when everything "fits"
There will be 6 vent ducts running through front air dam (fog light holes will get duct work behind them) - so - the splitter, air dam and front 1/4 of hood will get hard mounted somehow - split hood from mid fender wells to radiator opening to allow front 1/4 to stay on car and back 3/4 to be lifted off for working on motor. The tilt up hood just doesn't work well with all the aero nor with all the ducting that needs to go through front part of hood. Some sort of quick release for rear section of hood and front will be more permanent mounted but removable with some work.
Should look pretty slick and be very functional - functionality for all out racing is primary objective in everything that goes on car.....

thoughts on how to vary adjustable engine tunes. Very easy to have cockpit mounted knob to move between settings - should be on the fly adjustable as well.....
Original thought was to have 800, 1000, and max (1300ish) rwHp tunes - with hitting max around 22 psi boost or so.
Thinking that having 8 psi, 12 psi, 16 psi, 20 psi and max psi (22-ish) tunes might be better way to go.
Thoughts?

I know AEM lets you have a rotary switch input for various tables so it makes sense to do something like that. It could be dash mounted or steering wheel mounted that way too

I got this in my email yesterday. They might have something that will be what you want. I have Lund tunes in 2 of my other toys and look forward to getting one for my MkIV.

Fully aware the AEM will allow adjustable input/s - question was more to base them off of achieved HP or just boost psi limits. Dial a given HP or dial a given boost or level (really the same just a visual thing)

Gotcha, I misunderstood.
My personal thought is that actual HP numbers or even HP/100 might get crowded on the labeling. Could you also do a percentage of available power, like 8=80%, 10=100% linear, 11=Max effort everything? That way whatever your numbers are it'll still apply and if you upgrade the turbos later or tune later it'll still apply?
Of course, if you want to have it stand out and impress people, then go for HP labels!

The non-ludicrous setting of 800 rwhp will give more power to weight ratio than a GT series racecar - and should be more than adequate to push me around the track for some time until I learn to handle a measly 800 hp.....:)

Vette getting plenty of similar parts to the Coupe - including the rear wing. Vette wing picture below.
Coupe frame getting closer to powder coat - Gordon has redesigned the front section several times as trying to squeeze in all the exchangers for the turbos has been quite a challenge. Most of major components already placed and frame modified to fit them - so once powder coated - assembly should go smoothly.

Vette with the wing looks good!
That said, I can't wait for more updates on the Type 65 COUPE-R!!!! Bring on the pics and updates to this thread!

Awesome specs and no photos. That’s gotta be some kind of forum rules violation.

Hopefully Gordon will get some photos to me soon - frame should be ready for powder coating then assembly starts.
Have told him do it right and don’t rush - have the vette to play with for now.... :)
It’s actually getting dyno tuned this week and then off to track for some test and tune of suspension setup.
A few more vette pics while we all wait for the coupe build photos to start rolling in....

All the Vette mods logged in videos on my
Channel - Coupe videos will go up there as well.
Vette will end up around 5:1 lbs/wHP - Coupe will be less than 3:1....

Sorry for not many updates - CoupeR is progressing along - slowly but steadily.
Gordon made a trip over to Austin to help with some of the last setup on the Vette. Got to see lot’s of progress photos on the Coupe - hopefully getting frame wrapped up shortly. Some redesign work and trying to fit everything in has been a challenge to say the least.
Here some lap video of COTA in the ZR1 - can’t wait to get the Coupe-R out there and play.....maybe sept/oct she’ll be ready....

Car is in final assembly - car has been a challenge for Gordon as almost everything on car is a one off installation.
Not sure impact with Covid-19 not consuming the world but car is still moving forward.
