All,

Started electrical wiring recently on my coyote install.

I wanted to make sure I am judging the space behind the dashboard to route/fit all the wiring etc so I mocked up a dashboard panel.

I doing so I wanted to make sure I got the angle of the dashboard close to the final position. Then I fit the under dash supports that came with the kit, it seems to kick the bottom of the dashboard out at a greater angle than when it's flush/flat against the 3/4" ached mounting channel at the top of the dash.

Is the angle based on the channel angle the correct or does the untrimmed length of the dash support position/distance ?

Here are a couple pic's to show what I am talking about.

An angle measurement would work too.

Any/all guidance if greatly appreciated.

Bend and trim the dash support to fit so that your dash fits flush against the arched square tube.
Also, door sill kick plate can be used if you want to support the entire lower dash.
You just need a sheet metal brake, a Jig-Saw and a little imagination.
Shown below is a view from the passenger side of my car.
Yes, I moved the fuse block in the process.

The bottom of the dash should be about 7.5 inches from the firewall. This is based one the width of my under dash filler which has been fitted to hundreds of Roadsters.

Those are not lower dash supports...they are actually for mounting the Fox Mustang donor light and flasher switches and have nothing to do with the dash position although some guys have modified and repurposed them to become supports. Use the measurement Mike posted.

I used them to support the dash, but shorted them (by bending one end) so they were the right length.
