View Full Version : Where to Buy Edge Guard for Seatbelt Openings?
My kit came with a short length of white flexible edge guard that I used most of in the opening through the firewall to the footbox to protect the wire harness. I'd like to find more of this same guard for the openings in the rear cockpit wall for the seatbelt openings. I've found plenty of the metal u-channel stuff, but no luck finding the plastic. Any good sources out there?
Thanks,
Dave

I looked there first, but didn't find it. They have pretty much every other type of edge guard.

Have you considered CNC inserts?
Have you considered CNC inserts?
Cool idea; do you know of a source? I assume they would need to be custom made.

The way those openings are designed, the shoulder belts rub at the bottom across the wide and relatively smooth 3/4-inch tubing across the back wall. The aluminum back wall should be slightly below the tubing. So no real worries there. The rest of the opening can be smoothed out and dressed up with these: http://www.replicaparts.com/seatbelt%20page.htm.

Dave,
This stuff? If so you're welcome to it. I have 2 pieces, each about 15" long. PM me your address and I'll throw it in an envelope. Or if you're ever down my way (Littleton) feel free to stop by and pick it up.

Paul,
I have a set of aluminum bezels from Finish Line, but thought it best to guard the belts. It looks like Karl has some, so my search is over.

Mine are from Mike Everson. Solid polished alloy 3/16 thick no sharp edges counter sunk screw heads.
