Guys
Do you need to check for "crabbing" or "dogwalking" when installing a 3 link
My kit came with the cast aluminum non adjustable lower rear control arms.
Just center the axel and get the correct angle set on the drive shaft pick up-correct?
Thanks
Martin
You’ve got it. Just set ride height and pinion angle. I’d suggest checking the toe on your rear end. I was basically done and went to align the car, when I ran strings I found my rear wheels were towed out almost 1/4”, I took the rear end out and had it straightened at a shop that does that sort of thing (race car enthusiasts).

Also, please make sure you check your pinion angle.
It needs to be 1-2 degrees down compared to your drive-line.

Thats not exactly true. If the centerline through the engine and transmission is angled down then the pinion would be up. The two center lines need to be parallel.

Excellent Point Rich!

Go download the tremec app, it uses your phones internal level to measure a few different spots and tell you if your pinion angle is at the correct angle compared to your engine and driveshaft.

At ride height, adjust center and pinion angle.
Toe would only be needed if you have a damaged housing. But, if it is not new, worth a check.

The common 2 deg down is used so that under accel, when things flex, it will move to zero. Using rod ends for all the links may make it unnecessary.
