You have it right. I have the same engine. Rather than plumb the drivers side into the intake tube, I plan on using a push on filter. I ask Ford Tech about the DS line and he said, run it like you have.
Where did you get your adapter from the throttle body to air intake? Here is what I ended up with,,, so far. 92912
