Looking for any advice in estimating, finding best company for wrapping a painted Roadster. Car 16 years old and in great condition, just want to change look without going through major complete painting to take care of small detail problems that are multiplying on existing paint.

I'm surprised no one has chimed in. I'm interested in removable racing stripes

Every thread I have seen on wrapping a FFR says not possible. So many curved sections that the only way to wrap would require a lot of seems. I could be wrong but I can't remember anyone doing it.

Please understand that I know nothing about "Wrapping Anything" including Christmas presents, but it looks like a pretty tedious project.
I remember seeing a Cobra, which I think was a Factory Five, being wrapped on the Fantom Works TV show a while back.
In Go-Dad fashion, I was able to dig it up and can be seen about 2:20 minutes into the video which is shown below:

I just don't know what it would look like in the end because of all the curves, as CraigS has pointed out so I'd bet it would have a lot of seems.
Maybe that is why they went with a crazy pattern on the car in the video.
If I got it done then it would be a Mossy Oak Pattern!

If you are adding stripes, the car is no longer seamless. Take your car to a certified installer and get first hand information. That industry has a changed a lot in the last few years. I asked a 3M rep at a trade show about the heat of the side pipe and he said he would install a test strip on the car and run it hard just to be sure.

Like everything it depends on who is doing the job. I am sure that it is easier to wrap a production car - not because of the shape, but simply because it has panel gaps where you can start and stop the vinyl. It is absolutely possible to get a nice job. A guy here in NZ took his 10 year old MkIII roadster and had is wrapped a week or so ago. Before and after shots attached. It was Green with white stripes.......now satin silver with white stripes.9364893649936509365193652936539365493655

It wasn't cheap......cost about 3/4 of the original paint cost.
