Over the last 3-4 weeks I've seen a dramatic jump in same-IP registrations. I have a feeling the spammers have figured out the BIO field.

Therefore, until further notice, ALL SAME IP REGISTRATIONS WILL BE REJECTED unless the new registered user contacts me through the contact us link or the original IP address user contacts me to tell me the new user is in the same household.

I did my darndest to think of a scenario where this would be a problem. The only thing I could think of is if an office full of guys tried to sign up at once from behind a NAT. Have at 'em (the spammers), and thanks for the effort you put into moderating the forum!

Could also be a problem when a father and son are building a car and both want their own accounts.

Sorry, I didn’t realize this might be an issue, but I recently started a new account because I wanted to change my forum name. I did send a couple of emails to the contact us link. Maybe that’s why my new one (GTBradley) went through?
