I'm installing the exhaust system in the '33 and everything went together perfectly, except when it came to inserting the tip section of the tail pipe into the muffler. One tip section is slightly bigger than the muffler pipe, and the other barely fits, but won't slide very far into place, probably 1/2". On another thread it was the suggested to take the muffler to Midas and have them expand the aft muffler pipe slightly. But when I went to Midas, they said they wouldn't touch the muffler trying to expand it, even slightly because of the nature of stainless steel and the possibility of causing more damage then good.

So what is the solution for fitting the tip section of the tail pipe into the muffler?

Hi Tim,

Can you email measurements of the pipe diameters to tech@FactoryFive.com? I'd like to be able to compare with pipes we have here, and that would probably lead us to the best/quickest solution for you.

thanks,
