2002 Donor Gas Tank pictured, getting ready to mount the tank after some prep work. What do I do with the big black cylinder that is attached to it?? My plan up to this point was to keep as much of the OEM parts as possible within reason, aside from easily removable emissions stuff. 91127

Good Luck - the tank pictured has nothing to do with 94-95.

Here's the best I could do last time i got to looking about it:

Edited to reflect year of tank. Does anyone else have any experience with this?

That's the vapor canister to vent the tank and the fill tube. I had mine all connected originally including the elect plug from the donor harness. When the mounting bracket broke I took it off and have had no issues with gas odors. You may want to do a search for a simple homemade version that is smaller and lighter. hth

Did you plug the vapor lines that run to the front of the vehicle as well?

It's all connected almost exactly like on the mustang, but replaced a couple of lines with rubber fuel hose. All still there except for rear canister. Just left the line open ended, no issues.

Search 'Carbon vapor filter' in Shark92651's build thread. He makes a slick one out of a pop up sprinkler head.
