Has anyone done a T handle latch on the trunk? Need ideas for accents.

Here’s my delimma. Open wheeled coupe mostly. I want my grill chromed. Wheels will be polished or chrome. Windshield frame when top is off will be chrome. I was going to use 1st gen Miata exterior door handles that would be body color. But I think I need a splash of chrome. So I may use exterior door handles that are chromed, but that leaves the back end with no accent chrome. I could use a latch like the mk4 T handle or something similar, but not super crazy about that idea. Or will the chrome grill be ok by itself? Or should I paint the grill shell body color (prolly yellow) and chrome just the bars? I’m open for suggestions while I consider it.

I put a horizontal grill on the back to match the grill on the front. Pics on my build page. Might give you an idea. ADMIN EDIT: REMOVED
