I’ve removed the cooler adapter on my 2015 style coyote. It looks like the filter will be very close to the steering linkage. I have the adapter coming to install filter. Have you guys had to relocate the filter? Or use a shorter Mercedes style? Thanks.

Most relocate oil filter on Coyote, especially with electric power steering option. I moved mine to the front under the steering rack to allow for good access and keep the lines away from the headers.

That’s a good looking mount. Does the coyote filter mount unbolt from the block, and that bolt in place? Is it absolutely necessary or will it work without the relocation? I do see reason to relocate even in not needed and probably will.

I have the same set up on my 2012 Coyote. The factory mount unbolts from the block and the remote adaptor bolts directly in place. I used the same 135 degree AN fittings to Stainless braided hose. I mounted the remote oil filter unit on the X frame ahead of the engine. This was provided by FFR in the complete.
It is not absolutely necessary to relocate the filter. Some guys used a smaller filter in the original location. There is lots of info on the forum if you do a search.

I just tried and the filter don’t fit. I may try a smaller one just to get it running but def will be using the adapter and fittings like you guys. My kit has no filter relocation parts. It probably would fit without power steering. I am running out of real estate fast since I’m trying to have every available comfort option plus some they don’t even offer lol!
Thanks for the pointers. I’ll be using them for sure, if not now, then for final assembly after paint.

Tim (I think that’s it, please correct me if I’m wrong), where did you put your coolant gauge sender?

I used a 90 degree elbow in the remote filter adapter to avoid the oil pressure and coolant temp sensors from interference.91887

Thanks, T. I went ahead and moved mine to the outlet of the motor.

Here's how mine ended up with a remote oil filter with oil pressure switch:

Still have hose/wiring cleanup.

Thanks AJT. I ordered the same MMR setup last night. I like the all black and that’s what I’m going to be using for all my other hoses and fittings also. Is it braided stainless or nylon? I haven’t decided which black hose I’ll use yet. I do think I may try to go forward with mine though, but haven’t started playing yet with placement.

Braided stainless reinforced hose which comes with the kit I bought (http://www.modularmotorsportsracing.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=26_27&products_id=903). I also bought the 4" oil filter at the same time as it was just more convenient as well. A little disappointed with it because of the price including shipping (they did not have the import taxes and duties in the price) however when compared to others I have seen, its more sturdy and better looking.
