I had to lower the driver's seat so my head doesn't hit the roof, but this now means that the seat (Corbeau) interferes even more with the stock seat belt mounting location and is touching the window/firewall where the FFR harness bar would sit.
A friend of mine suggested bolting directly through the frame bar lower down rather than installing a harness bar but drilling holes in the frame really bothers me... (I already don't like the ones in the flooring cross members to bolt the seat to).
So, I'm wondering if the lower mounting tabs for the seat belt rollers are strong enough to bolt a harness bar to and or if it would make sense to make a small bracket to tie both the upper and lower seat belt mounting tabs together and run a harness bar between those brackets lower down behind the seat where clearance opens up?
Has anyone done something like this already?
Since the spacing probably wouldn't match the FFR bar length what would be a good material and diameter to make my own bar out of?
