I noticed that the distance between my the two Clevis is more than the recommended .2-.25. I put this together awhile ago and i am confused on how to move the clevis closer together. I guess first off is it imperative to have them that close? Second, if so how do I do it.
Thanks

Wow that's bad! Hard to believe you even got the brakes bled properly -- it must have been a real PITA. Yes it's important that that gap dimension is held or you may find you have no back up brake system if you loose one of them. This is a safety issue.
You have to unscrew one of the master cylinder rods from the clevis and turn that clevis inward until you achieve the recommended gap. Then reinstall the M/C rod to the same length if it was adjusted properly to begin with. Yes, it sounds easy and would be if it were on the bench. It will be more of a challenge in the car but it must be done or you really don't have two independent brake systems (front and rear).

To unscrew one of the rods from the clevis I’m assuming I just continue to turn the rod until it is unthreaded from the clevis? This will not effect the master cylinder since the brakes are bled? BTW I used a power bleeder to bleed the brakes so it was not an issue.
