Just spent some time this weekend fitting the fuel tank and FFMetal Battery Box.
I have to say, if there is one thing you need to do is get the FFMetal battery box. Worth every penny. I truely do not think I could have built it for less.
Linwood makes a handfull of item for our FFR kits that are top notch and the customer support can not be beat.

And it has been this way for a long time. My MrkII has one of his boxes and everyone that used one then felt the same way. You made a great choice from a quality supplier.

This is a great product. I gave some thought to putting the battery under the hood area but hidden away is so much nicer and this product makes it a easy task.

X2 all the above. The FFMetal battery box was one of the first mods I added to my 3.1. Perfect fit, excellent design & manufacturing, and a reasonable price. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Made my own using a plastic marine battery box from Autozone, supported by aluminum straps and lined with Neoprene rubber. Total investment ~ 25$. No doubt not as nice looking, but it won't be seen and was fun to fabricate something on my own.

Nice idea, and way to save money

Another vote for FFmetal, I've got just about every piece of his aluminum parts on my car including the extended firewall. The .090 aluminum is much more solid.

I agree, it is a very well fabricated piece. I have been very impressed with just about every product I have purchased from our vendors. Great packaging, quality hardware included, and good instructions. You can tell "one of us" made it. Now, if the rest of the auto industry could figure this out!
ffmetals packs great and ships fast. I was too very impressed with all their parts. Good stuff.
