I have searched the forums and read and re-read the manual but I can't find for the life of me any instructions on cutting/modifying the fuel filler pipe from an 87-93 to fit up to the gas cap. Does aAnyone that has a picture of this modification?

Thanks

I didn't do all that. Call Mark at Breeze, he has a nice one made out of stainless. Fits perfect. Make sure you have a good tank seal (NEW Ford) or you may end up with a leak.

Just buy the breeze one; it will save you a lot of headache.

Paul, Love the Newfy in your Avatar. Julie and I have a Newfy named Molly. As far as the fuel filler tube, I went by the manual and cut the tube as directed. Once it is cut it is just a matter of twisting it in to the right position to line up. One extra thing I did was to extend the inner tube so it extended down i to the tank as the stock pipe did and I have never had any issues with pumping fuel into the tank as others have reported. I can try and take a picture up into the fender-well tomorrow if you are still having issues and post it tomorrow night.

Paul,
I'm using the donor fill pipe as well and only found some refrence in an old MKIII manual I have. One question for you, do you have an issue with the fill pipe hitting the 3/4" frame above where it inserts into the tank? I had to flatten the tube some at that spot to get a straight shot into the tank.

Thnks

Frank,

We love our Newf as well. So much so that we actually have 3 of them. Two Landseers (Gabriel and Paige) as well as a black (Noah). The beauty in the picture was our first, Bella, who sadly was with us for far too short a time.

I would love a picture because I can find nothing in my Mark 4 Manual that shows it.

Thanks

I had no issues with placing the tube into the tank, it clears the 3/4" frame rail by about 1/4". As stated unfortunately the Mark 4 manual does not contain any pictures that I can find.

Frank,

I'll try and snap a few when I get home tonight. I try and post a page from the MKIII manual as well.

Here are the first few I snapped, more to follow

Another vote for the Breeze stainless pipe - great addition to my build as with all Breeze products (plus the service is great).

I took a few more although they look the same. Most important, REMEMBER THE GROUND WIRE!

Here is the page from the manual. Keep in mind that FFR changed the fuel filler cap late in the MKIII run and if you have the one piece with the integral vapor cap then all or some of these pictures may not apply.

Thanks for the pictures. So if I have this correct I am cutting the Mustang pipe in the middle section and inserting the rubber extension and that is it.

Seems pretty straight forward.

Thanks Frank
