Hey Guys,

I recently got my Levy oil pan and have a question. It came with a dipstick that’s meant to thread into the sump. The fittings on the dipstick tube are too small to fit in to the open hole (see pic). Just from looking at it, it looks like it will fit in the threaded hole that currently has a bolt in it. If this is the case, what is the purpose of the larger hole?

Thanks guys!!

The big hole is 1/2 NPT and is meant for an oil temp sensor if you have one. The dip stick goes into the holes that has the bolt plug in it just forward of the big hole. You can use a 1/2" npt plug for the big hole if you are not using an oil temp sensor.
