You can now LIKE, THANK and DISLIKE (for now) POSTS!

So, How do you LIKE me now?

:)

EDIT: Consensus; DISLIKE button removed. :)

So how do you guys feel about the DISLIKE post option? Keep it or dump it?

I think it's a bit unnecessary. But thanks for updating with the other options.

No reason to have a "dislike". If someone doesn't like a post they should just move on, unless if what was posted requires moderation. Then it should be reported.

Agreed... it'll promote a negative tone.

Agree. I dislike the Dislike. Here, we're too friendly and supportive for that.

What AZPete said . . . we have always relied on your wisdom to keep things going along at a good pace, friendly-wise. Let's not give the general public a chance to muck that up with a "Dislike" option.

I agree with the statement above, if you don't like what you are reading, move along . . .

Thanks Dave for all you do to keep this forum running smoothly.

Dave-

I Like the Like, and I Like the absence (now) of the Dislike!

I think it should work nicely, and it is a nice feature to have on the site.

Regards,

Steve

Well...I DON'T like the extra bar/column/whatever you want to call it that is now between every reply. Just seems like clutter but I guess I'll get used to it.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of that either, especially the blue bar. I may try to modify that UI at some point.

I agree with Kleiner AND I am so appreciative of what you do with this Forum! So, whatever you want to do I can live with.

But while we're on the subject (I think) of modifying things, is there anyway to have a search that takes you to the exact post of the phrase for which you searched instead of the entire build thread?

The only forum and/or social media that I am on is this one so it makes no difference to me if you all keep it or boot it.

Guess that makes me the Jeff Spicoli of this forum:

I am no english major or even a minor, so i dont know what is correct!

Could it be thanks for the post not thanked for the post? Dont know why, it sounds better in my head. Although probably not correct. ..... Now I am thinking of not posting this! See you should not have removed the dislike so quickly :)

I think this is a good addition, you can give a quick like or thanks without needing a new post!

+1 for removing the extra blue bar. Otherwise, I like the new features.

Dave,

Personally I'm not a fan of this feature and would prefer it be removed, but I can just ignore it if others find it useful.

Honestly, for the forum, I think the feature sucks. We have plenty of smiley face features to approve, disapprove and ha-ha with already. Ditch it and let's build some cars!

I dislike the dislike button. :p Can take or leave the like button. This isn't Facebook or Instagram. (Maybe that's a good thing.) OK I guess with the thank button. But I agree with some of the other comments. Tends to clutter things up a bit and the same sentiment can be made, as needed, with post comments, already existing emojis, etc. Whatever you do we'll get used to it. But still reserve the right to complain. :o

Certainly glad the forum performance is back up to speed. I know all too well how frustrating that kind of thing can be having worked through issues like that during my career. Thank you for all you do and hanging in there with this one.
