I would like to upgrade my clutch cable for my complete kit Mk4.

Not sure what the supplied stock cable is based on. (Year Model)

Is this the correct part number? Ford Racing M-7553-C302

I have read in many post it is good to have a spare clutch cable so the stock one goes in the trunk.

I went ahead and purchased the Ford Racing M-7553-C302

This does appear to be the correct replacement for the FFR Clutch cable. The biggest benefit to the racing cable is that it is also adjustable at the bell housing clutch fork as well as at the fire wall. I also noticed that the swedged ends are more stout than the standard clutch cable.

I went with this cable because I plan to run a 351 Windsor with a performance clutch and I did not want to risk a cable failure. It is also recommended that you have a spare cable although I have no idea how you would be able to fix the cable on the road without a jack.
