We moved to New Mexico almost 2 years ago. As you said Mark, the sunsets here are fantastic.
We have a son that lives in CO, almost moved there but we were trying to escape the MA winters and too much snow.
Our daughter and family live in ABQ which is how we landed here.

Colorado really is a wonderful place to live. One of the best things about living in Denver is being able to take day trips or long weekends and go drive through the canyons in the Rockies. I can't wait until I can drive a car I built through Independence Pass into Aspen while the leaves are changing.
I'm definitely looking forward to my first trip to Estes Park through Big Thompson Canyon!

Being a flat lander (Southeast Louisiana) I seldom see views as impressive as this.
Makes me want to head Northwest one day soon.
Thanks For Posting Papa.

Steve,
I've lived all over the world thanks to joining the Army right out of high school. Before that, I hadn't been further east than Nevada. Since then, I've lived on the east coast (north, central, and south), Texas and Colorado in the U.S.. I've also spent a lot of time overseas in Japan, Korea, Australia, and Germany. Of all my travels, Colorado touched me like no other. I've now lived here 23 years and can't imagine going anywhere else.

What a great picture. My initial thought was "Kilauea blowing its top"??
I used to Live in the Canadian Rockies, about a 5 minute drive to the Jasper National Park boundary. Too close to the mountain for sunsets like that. Funny how much shorter dusk is when you live in the shadow of a mountain.

Dave and Mark-
Beautiful pictures!! I think if I saw a sunset like that, little else besides staring, would be accomplished. Thanks for sharing.
Mother Nature can be both brutal and astonishingly beautiful; I much prefer the latter!

Steve

Thought I'd share too. Took this photo of a Colorado sunrise from Broomfield (north west of Denver) a while back while on a business trip.
