Brake and Lamp, Sacramento inspection station recommendations?

I need advice on where to go for the brake and lamp inspection on my Roadster in or near Sacramento Ca.

I have read the vehicle code and know what I must have and what I do not need. I need an inspection station who can read the legal description and not add their interpretation of it.

I would prefer advice from people who have recently gone through the process here.

The shop I went to in So. Cal was an Official B&L station. All they did was check to see that all of my lights worked properly and visually checked my brakes. $49.00 and 15 minutes I had my Cert signed off.
