Aluminum cleaning

I am planning to clean the aluminum panels in the engine bay, wheel wells and other exposed areas. Looking for product recommendations/techniques that are safe, easy to use and no risk of damaging paint. Thoughts?

Vinegar or lemon juice and water is a mild cleaner and safe combo for aluminum and paint. There's also this stuff. Haven't used it myself but gets great reviews and is biodegradable.
